A peaceful and quiet retreat in the heart of the English Lake District, Yewfield is ideally situated for walking and enjoying this exquisite region of rare natural beauty and inspiration of the Lakeland poets. Yewfield offers vegetarian bed & breakfast and luxury self catering accommodation for non-smokers and has been awarded a visit Britain Quality in Tourism Rating of 5 Stars.

There are over 30 acres of land around the house, including native woodland, rough fell pasture, a small tarn and a stream. The grazed pasture is carefully managed giving priority to ecological considerations, which qualifies it to be part of the Environmentally Sensitive Areas Scheme.

Newly developed ornamental areas closer to the house include organic vegetable gardens, orchards, a herb patio and a mixed border. We are also experimenting with naturalistic styles and plantings such as a coppice garden, wildflower meadows, a fern corner and a wildlife pond.

Yewfield gardens is now starting to supply salad and herb produce for Fellinis. Although in its early stage we hope to bring some interesting varieties of organic local produce specialy grown for the Fellinis menu.
